Mechanical Engineering dual study programme.
The study course for construction and development.

Learning content:

In this diverse degree course specialising in construction and development, you will learn how to develop and produce components, machines and complex systems.

In the company, you will work in the areas of product development, production and supply process and application development.

How is the study course structured at RATIONAL?

The course starts in September every year. You will complete the first part of your course (up until part 1 of your final examination) in our training workshop. The next stage of the course (up until part 2 of the final examination) involves university semesters, training sessions and practical in-company learning. Once you have completed part 2 of the final examination, there will be further practical in-company learning and semesters at the university. You will then be expected to complete your Bachelor thesis at the end of the study course.

  • Apprenticeship period: 4 ½ years
  • University/vocational school: The university and vocational school are coordinated at every location. We work together with the Universities in Augsburg , Kempten and Ulm .
  • Qualifications: Industrial mechanic and Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering

  • Requirements

    Entry requirements:
    Advanced technical college certificate or A' level certificate

    Grades:
    Good grades in mathematics and technical subjects

  • When?

    Applications received every year by August 31 at the latest for the next course year.

  • How?

    Application by e-mail with a cover letter, cv, half-year and annual reports from the previous academic year as well as any certificates for completed work placements.

  • After the application?

    As soon as we have received your application, we will send you a confirmation of receipt to confirm that we have received everything we need from you.
    If we think you are suitable, we will invite you to an interview in Autumn and our applicant day. This allows you to get to know the company and we can meet you.
